Download David Archuleta’s studio version of You’re the Voice here. A majority of the time, when a contestant sings a song I’ve never heard, I tend to not find it appealing. In this case, I absolutely love the song. Maybe not the best song choice from hello… the 90’s! But still, the fact that he could make me actually want to buy the song and listen to it over and over again is freakin’ great. David Archuleta FTW!!
More American Idol goodness in a few.
Not really feeling their dance moves, in fact they need to stop… but at least these bitches can sing. I love Q. Just quit it with the moves.

I just picked up a Harmon Kardon GPS-810 Guide + Play. I’ve been wanting a GPS for quite some time now. I was even at Circuit City a few months ago in line, ready to pay for a 1500 nav+install on my mazda speed3. I backed out last minute. Left the papers on the counter and walked out. 9/10 times I would have jumped the gun and splurged.
Anyway, since then, I’ve come across a few friends who have portable GPS devices and from what I’ve gathered, owning one will really benefit me.
For starters, I’m horrible at maps. If I had to find my way out of a town and all I had was a map, I’d be shit out of luck. I’m also very indecisive on the go when it comes to that dreaded question, “Where do you want to eat?” With a GPS, it lists nearby restaurants based off types of food. This is awesome!
Aside from food places, you can also find ATMs, entertainment, shopping, culture, sports recreation, lodging, landmarks and more. How sic is that? This is perfect for traveling. You can even type in names of places and it will find it.
One of the coolest things about this gadget is that it comes with a wireless remote that you can attach wherever you see fit. I have a pretty sweet set up that looks like it’s actually integrated in my car. I’ll take pics soon.
As a GPS, this device is outstanding. What also drew me towards this was it’s ability to play music and video through a SD card. I just connect through my aux port in my car and that’s that. Of course it’s illegal to play video while driving, but my passengers can watch a movie (just be sure you know where you’re going because the navigation stops the moment you have your video playing). A note about converting video files. It took me awhile (and a few headaches) to figure out the best way to put video on the 810. The best way to do this is to convert your DVD or files to PSP ready settings and the video and audio will sync up and play great.
For video (when converting from a DVD), I use Instant Handbreak for mac and for converting clips or files you might already have on your computer, I use FFmpegX, also for mac. These are the best PSP to mac converters that are free and work well with the Harman Kardon 810.
Price: $400 (Frys – 30 day price match)

Just found this amazing action and wanted to use it. How cool is this? Don’t be alarmed if you see random cubes of images in the next couple posts.
P.S. I’d totally post the action except the 20 people that come here probably don’t care enough. lol.

Day 26 leaked. I’ve only got through a few tracks and honestly I’m really feeling some of their tunes. They got some old school r&b voices in the mix and I think that’s what I’m loving most.
Download this bad boy here: Day 26 (via evilshare).

This is probably the easiest/quickest tutorial I’ve learned that packs a huge punch. I saw this from Scott Kelby at one of the two photoshop conventions I’ve attended. Won’t work for every image, but it’s quick so try it out and let me know what you think.
Open your image and follow these steps:
Image – Mode – LAB
Image – Apply Image
Change blending to Overlay and adjust the opacity to your liking.
Image – Mode – RGB (Converts back to RGB)
That’s it. Go have fun!

During a quick lunch break at work, the newly turned 26 Holly, snapped away.
I think 01.20.09 should be the world’s official birthday since the whole world will be getting an amazing gift.

I love this girls voice. Majority of what I’ve seen from her was on youtube on the British show X-Factor. That was pretty much the extent of the love I had for the girl. Then a few days ago, I saw her perform on Oprah (on HD even!) and this girl has some pipes. Not only can she sang, but she can sang it with control, ya feel me? haha. Anyway, download her album here (via sendspace).

Talk about taking design to another level. This is mad cool and 100% original. Not only is it a space saver for those residing in tight corners, but this super couch transforms into a two person sleep station. Of course, something like this would cost an arm, a leg, and maybe an eyeball, but that doesn’t mean it ain’t pretty to look at. Simply amazing.
A sofa with removable covers and integrated/patented mechanism which transforms the sofa into a bunk bed. Doc XL furnishes the day area and with a simple movement transforms into a practical ready made bunk bed with integrated supporting ladder and protection guard.
Buy it for me here.

I purchased a new toy. My epson p-3000 will be in my hands come tomorrow afternoon.
This thing is a monster. Aside from storing and viewing RAW images on the fly, the epson p-3000 also plays music and video files. I probably won’t use those features all that much considering I have an iPhone, but I foresee them being really handy in long car trips or even during air travel.
I purchased this bad boy online through adorama.com and with two mail in rebates equaling 150, the epson p-3000 comes out to a smashing deal of 250 bones (no sales tax and free shipping if you use standard).
I just sold an image for 250, so I think it’s a perfect trade off. This thing will come in handy at shoots and the best part is I won’t have to lug around my macbook pro anymore!
Key factors as to why I chose this:
Built-in Memory Card Slots (no wires!)
Supports most RAW formats
Can zoom in on actual RAW files (previous versions used embedded jpeg)
Quick and responsive (most reviews pointed this out)
Supports a large array of formats (video, mp3)
Gorgeous, bright and HUGE 4″ Four-Color LCD
Clients can browse through images, rather than passing around the camera or laptop
Rechargeable, replaceable battery (3+ hour battery life)
Simple UI
Allows for a portable portfolio
Full USB Support
Mac friendly
Adobe RGB Color Space Support
And that’s just what hooked me. Anyway, I’ll have an informal review of this thing once I get intimate with it. Pictures and all. You know I love my gadgets.
To look at your past hurts my present
Visions of the before it hurts even more
I’ve shattered those images
But the pieces they still remain
Heavily painted
Scorned, tainted and framed
I shot my first wedding with 5byseven.com. It was really fun/tiring and something we’re definitely going to venture off into. We also just purchased our own studio set up so we’re pretty stoked on getting this thing going.
If you guys have any work you need done, holla atcha your boy.
