Born Michael Catacutan, nicknamed Mikee as a kid and later Migs from my old dance team, I began my photographic journey at the age of 16. My first digital camera was a Sony Digital Mavica that recorded media on a 3.5″ floppy disk.

I remembering thinking to myself how cool it was to see instantly and to some extent, exactly what I had pictured. It was like a polaroid camera without the expensive film. From there it was over. I knew in one way or another, photography would be in my life. If there was one thing I was certain of at such a young age, it was this.

“The key to success is not needing a key. Why limit your possibilities by already having doors closed and locked in your mind? Why not start with them open and have what you do when you’re inside, matter most.” – Migs
